Personal project designed in septembre 2020 during my free time.
I decided to work on the visual identity of the newly created youtube channel.
Following the project about Tabletop Nuts, I wanted to bring slightly more depth and identity to the youtube channel.
This channel offers battle report based on the warhammer 40k universe, a miniature wargame.
In the lore of Warhammer, the word "Dakka" is part of the Ork faction language and means "firepower" or "rapid fire". In the game, the rule "dakka" is represented by throwing a lot of dice to overturn the tide in your favor. The first direction takes inspiration from the current identity, with an industrial approach, while infusing faction related characteristics.

As a gamer carrying miniature armies for tournaments, the second approach is placing the dice as a gamer carrying iconic weaponary from different faction.
DESIGN CONCEPT 1
Youtube channel logo embodies a tangible and fictional environment of a Warhammer 40k game.
Thumbnail design for battle report. The idea is to represent the reflexion of the game on dice facets. This approach offer a large diversity of background composition while carrying a consistent identity.
DESIGN CONCEPT 2
The second approach, more playful, is depicting the dice as a character, a gamer. Always ready to carry the fight on any table with his/her miniature army.
